About the project

One of Kerala's longest bridges at nearly a kilometre, built across the Bharathapuzha river in southern India. It carries road traffic while controlling the flow of water through 70 sluice gates — a dual-purpose design that cuts the driving distance between two of Kerala's major cities by 38km and irrigates thousands of hectares of farmland. A complex civil and hydraulic engineering contract requiring precise coordination between road, bridge and water management systems.
